The business mogul appeared on the BBC programme via a video link from Florida – but fans of the show were more “concerned” about his overall look.

After congratulating Harpreet Kaur for winning the show, the 75-year-old said: “It was a very tough decision between two very worthy finalists.

“I felt that Harpreet’s performance and business together as a package deal merited her being my partner.”

However, after his speech, die-hard fans were soon left asking if the straight-talking east Londoner was ok.

Flocks of viewers soon took to Twitter to comment on his appearance, with some suggesting it looked like he was “being controlled by a puppeteer”.

Alongside an emoji of a shocked face, one person penned: “Is everything ok with Lord Sugar? He looks a little worse for wear.”

Echoing their comments, someone else questioned: “Why does Lord Sugar look like a ventriloquist doll?”

While a third quipped: “Oh, no! They’ve brought back the AI Lord Sugar from video games week. That, or he’s being controlled by a puppeteer.”

Feisty dessert parlour owner Harpreet upset the bookies to win The Apprentice and Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment.

The 30-year-old from West Yorkshire beat Kathryn Burn in the final boardroom showdown to realise a lifelong dream.

However, she had to wait six months to find out it was her who had clinched the prize – and only found out last week.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, she said: “I’m just ecstatic. I’m so happy. I’m proud of myself. I’ve worked really really hard to get to this point.”
