Dream of owning your own place in Cornwall? You might be able to make it reality

Looking for your own piece of Cornwall? Here it is!

Lakeside chilling, seaside strolls and family fun – sounds like the absolute dream, right?

Calling a piece of Cornwall (or Isle of Wight, or Yorkshire…) your own and spending your downtime in a home away from home has never been more achievable.

When it comes to Aria’s laidback accommodation – with a range of budgets catered to, in nine UK locations – filled with scrumptiously stylish interiors and wow-factor vistas, put your feet up and soak up your own patch of staycation paradise, while earning back a few pennies by joining the managed letting scheme.

Whether you’re looking for a static caravan by the Dorset coast to whisk your family and four-legged friends away to come school holidays, or a stunning lodge in the heart of Scotland in which to bunker down for a cosy winter’s long weekend, the perfect property is a scroll away.

Retreat, relax and drink in those views, we say.

The new boutique barn development at Retallack Resort & Spa in Cornwall, with two, three and four-bedroom luxury holiday homes, took Milton Keynes’ Simon and Denise’s fancy immediately. They purchased their own gorgeous barn in April 2021 and haven’t looked back, wanting an investment that would offer them financial benefits, but also the opportunity to holiday regularly.

It’s hard not to feel more relaxed here

We’re talking style

You could say that is a win-win, as they now have an income that far exceeds what they would have been able to achieve through standard investment approaches, while also getting the barn to themselves for 28 days of the year to enjoy their hard-earned, short breaks. It all adds up.

Or what about gym owner Sue and company director Mark, who hail from Timsbury, near Bath, in Somerset. They purchased their own stylish, four-bedroom Cornish barn retreat in April last year and tout it as a ‘wonderful, peaceful haven from their busy lives’, which we can all do with a bit of this year.

Sue and Mark know what’s up

And your four-legged friends come too!

They instantly fell in love with the style, finish and prime location on the beach, with tourist hotspots Newquay and Padstow, as well as Cornwall’s most iconic sights, within easy visiting distance.

Giving Aria 12 weeks minimum of holiday letting a year, Sue and Mark have spent at least six weeks in their barn, sharing it with their four adult children and grandchild.

While the location is perfect – nestled in a secluded countryside spot close to the beach – allowing you to explore all the area has to offer, the resort itself will have you wanting to stay put, with five-star facilities including a bar and eatery, and epic water sports for those wanting a little more action than the rest of us content on sipping a crisp rosé on the balcony. However you want to spend your downtime, here is where you can live it more.
