LOVE Island alum Sharon Gaffka has hit out at the reality show for not including Asians in the 2022 cast.
The former government worker, 26, who is of Indonesian and Polish heritage, spoke out about diversity coming in “different boxes” after the new line-up was revealed.

She then opened up on her terrifying cancer scare before coming full circle and now airing her Love Island views on TalkTV.
Sharon told the channel: “Diversity comes in lots of different boxes.
“It’s not just ethnicity and what I do think it’s great that you know, close to 50 per cent of the cast will be diverse or from a different background I still think we’re not seeing any Asians in the original line-up.
“And again, there is a little bit of more diversity than other previous series in terms of body size.”
Sharon previously revealed her dad is a red head, and Polish by origin, and her mum is Indonesian born.
Meanwhile, before she ever appeared on Love Island, Sharon opened up about the difficulties of being a woman of a mixed ethnic background in a Twitter post.
She wrote: “As a mixed-race woman, it’s a constant battle to get people to hear and understand your lived experiences as a woman and as a BAME individual.”
The acronym BAME refers to “Black, Asian and minority ethnic.”
Sharon added: “Do you know how degrading it is when the battle happens within the walls of your own home?”
“I am not who I am because I’m there to tick diversity boxes. I am a person, with feelings, with knowledge and with experience.”
“If the pill is hard to swallow it’s because the truth hurts.”
Her comments came after it was revealed the latest matchmaking hopefuls were all already Instagram influencers.
Michael Owen’s daughter, Gemma, boasts nearly 12 times that amount, with 59k fans.
Meanwhile, student Liam Llewellyn leads the boys with 10.7k.
