Although the second instalment dubbed down on the nudity – much to the dismay of the majority – the longing looks and sexual tension between Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) had fans captivated from beginning to end.
The Netflix hit took the world by storm following its debut in December 2020, however, but before Bridgerton, Jonathan has been involved in a number of projects on the small screen and in theatre.
But how old is the star, and is he married?

Jonathan is a 33-year-old actor from Oxfordshire.
One of his major roles was starring as Leonardo Da Vinci in the CBBC series Leonardo in 2011.
Many might recognise him from his role in the hit ITV series Broadchurch, which he starred in alongside Olivia Colman and David Tennant.
Jonathan also made a cameo on Michaela Coel’s Channel 4 comedy Chewing Gum.
It was announced in September 2021, that he would be starring opposite Rocketman actor Taron Egerton at the Ambassadors Theatre in London from March 5 – June 4 2022.
The title of the play in question is ‘C**k’, a play originally written by Mike Bartlett in 2009, however, Jonathan and Taron playfully refused to answer why the title was given such a name.
‘To find out what it’s called you might have to Google The Ambassadors Theatre,’ Jonathan said.
Jonathan won a Laurence Olivier Award in 2019 for best actor in a supporting role in a musical for his portrayal of Jamie in the 2018 West End revival of Company.
Does Jonathan Bailey have a boyfriend?

Judging by social media, it’s thought that Jonathan is single, however, the star is known for keeping his personal life private.
The actor decided to speak publicly about his sexuality for the benefit of his own happiness and to no longer have to hide his relationships.
He explained: ‘I reached a point where I thought, “F**k this”, I’d much prefer to hold my boyfriend’s hand in public or be able to put my own face picture on Tinder and not be so concerned about that than get a part.’
Jonathan had previously told Sir Ian McKellen: ‘I was coming to terms with my own sexuality, I hadn’t necessarily hidden it, but I’ve never been not honest about it.
‘It’s just there had never been a need to talk about it. There’s a sense of shame, I think, that’s palpable throughout gay men within the industry.’
Bridgerton is available to watch on Netflix.
